Meet our team! All our coaches have competed at professional and international levels, either as a swimmer, triathlete or coach. Founder Johan Kenkhuis is an Olympic swimming medalist and all our coaches are ready to share their experience, knowledge and passion with you.

SwimGym founder and two time Olympian, Johan won a silver and a bronze medal at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. He is a freestyle specialist and nowadays also a commentator for Dutch broadcasting during international swimming championships. SwimGym is Johan’s way to share his passion and enthusiasm for the sport with the world.

Andrea swam internationally for years. A major highlight was the 4x200 freestyle relay at the 2016 Olympics. In the same event at the 2016 European Championships in London she won a bronze medal. Andrea has studied, swum and coached in the United States and now she uses this knowledge, her inexhaustible energy and love for the sport at SwimGym.

Triathlons are Michael’s specialty, having done the Ironman twice himself. His other passion is coaching, so as a coach at SwimGym he combines the two. Michael has experience coaching all level swimmers and triathletes. 

The passion of the originally Aruban Saskia is coaching people in every facet of their journey. With her sparkling energy she has a broad experience in coaching thriatletes and swimmers to make sure they will be their best version of theirselves. 

A true allrounder with an international swimming career, a specialist in individual medley and breaststroke. Sébas held the Dutch national record on the 200 breaststroke for many years. He likes to challenge his swimmers so they get the most out of every swim. 

Tessa won a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke at the European Championships in 2010 and competed at the World Championships in Shanghai a year later. You will always see Tessa smiling and she is known for her positive attitude and diligence.
